Some of our more regular customers will have noticed that since January the shop no longer offers lumps of falling masonry and electric shocks to go along with bottles of wine and first-rate customer service…
Part one of this revolutionary approach to wine retail was to remove the existing lighting, which as well as casting a slightly funereal pall over everything, also turned out to be borderline lethal, and have it replaced with some rather more suitable track lighting. This now enables customers to see what they are buying and they no longer have to rely solely on my word for it.
Once that was sorted (and huge thanks to Mike Wells of Wells Property Maintenance for doing everything he said he would, when he said he would), we filled in some of the more man-sized holes in the walls and decorated. The really exciting part comes next when the huge blank wall (see picture) is filled with the new shop logo and the outside is upgraded to enhance its ‘kerb appeal’.
Paul from Bespoke Signs will be starting next week and updates on his progress will follow!
